Johnnie Blend - A cappella - St. John's University

As many of you reading this know... Johnnie Blend is a ten-member a cappella group from St. John's University. However, one thing alot of people don't know is how we got our name. There is a coffee shop in St. Joseph, MN (a mile away from Saint John's University) called "The Meeting Grounds." At this coffee shop they brew a coffee called... you guessed it, Johnnie Blend. We thought that name fit us well since we are all Johnnies and the term blend is associated with singing. Now you're starting to realize why we picked the name Johnnie Blend "Decaffeinated"... aren't you? Of course, it is referring to the Fall of '04, when five of our members (the caffeine, if you will) took study abroad trips, and thusly, we were left with a decaffeinated version of Johnnie Blend. The five members who studied abroad in '04 came back in the Spring of '05, and we are once again the fully caffienated version of Johnnie Blend. We just thought you might like to know that!
